Germany vs. Greece in the Eurocup

Last night we had a great time watching Germany v. Greece in the quarter finals of the Eurocup! We managed to get a table in a beer garden in the center of town near Marienplatz and watched the game surrounded by thousands of soccer fans. The victory party lasted all night, much of it just outside our window - but it did not keep us from sleeping well.

Today is departure day. It is beautiful outside: sunny and 70 degrees. When I woke up to drums, I thought the soccer parties were still in full swing. Turns out today is a celebration of breweries (will I ever come home?). It's 1145am now and the parade of Clydesdales pulling keg-laden wagons has been going on for 3 hours. I've assembled the bikes to the sound of an Umpa-band and resisted the temptation to drink beer for breakfast..
Our plan is to go to Icking today where we will have a late lunch with some friends of Charlie's. Then we will go to Bad Tolz either late today or first thing tomorrow.
